Five working tables, 161 young innovators from 24 countries in the EU, 12 hours of discussions and panels all within the context of the Arsenale di Venezia in order to formulate 10 proposals to take to the members of theDigital Venice event on June 8, during which the European commissioner for the digital agenda Neelie Kroes and the Italian president Matteo Renzi will discuss the EU’s digital economy. Each table has provided two proposals for each of the following themes: digital cities, digital economy, digital jobs, digital education, and digital democracy. Now it’s the politicians’ turn to take them into consideration.

Here is the streaming of the event

DIGITAL CITIES

1. An identification digital card for all member state citizens. We want all Europeans to have equal rights and access to equal services wherever they go. Luka Manojlovic

2. Award citizens and public administrations that create positive externality.Ileana Volpi

DIGITAL ECONOMY

3. An online platform that allows European companies to easily manage all documents. We want to eliminate all of the bureaucratic difficulties and unify the management methods for business operating procedures. Niccolò Ferragamo

4. Financing. We ask Digital Venice to make it easier to get international financing to facilitate the creation and growth of innovative enterprises.  Jens-Philipp

DIGITAL JOBS

5. Reverse Internship: managers will go to startups. It is necessary for training young people and permit the creation of jobs. Aoibheann Gleeson

6. A European pension. The proposal is to unify the contribution system for digital jobs: if retirement contributions are made in a country they will not be lost. We want to facilitate international mobility. Matieu Sneep

DIGITAL EDUCATION

7. Train the trainer. We want to provide better informational tools for professional growth.  We thougt about a unique european platform where teacher and professors can share experiences and materials. Francesca Cavallo

8. Learn to communicate. The goal is to pass from simple understanding to knowing how to do things. It is necessary to propose real problems to children and ask them how to resolve them. The results will be surprising. Andrea Castiglione

DIGITAL DEMOCRACY

9. Direct democracy. All individuals need to participate in the life of their country and the European Union. All politicians, on the other hand, must continuously subject themselves to the judgment of their citizens and listen to them. Here is the proposal for Digital Venice: a crowdsourced platform for making proposals and giving feedback. Alberto Alemanno

10. One click government. The goal is to make it easier to use all public services. The medium: an intuitive online platform that allows access to all citizens. Christina Veating Nergard
